About Isle of Dogs

Isle of Dogs is located in the East End of London, on a former island. The Isle of Dogs is bounded on its east, south, and west sides by one of the largest bends in the River Thames.

The 19th century urbanisation of the Isle of Dogs lead to the construction of the West India Docks, which lead to the area becoming an important location of trade. After the extensive bombings of WWII the area was severely damaged.

The Isle of Dogs became part of the 1981 London Docklands Development Corporation and received an injection of investment to rejuvenate the area.

The site is now known as part of the prestigious Canary Wharf complex and its inhabitants have some of the highest incomes in the UK.

The majority of the serviced apartments Isle of Dogs has to offer are near transport links of some kind.
