About Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and geographically and economically at its centre. KL, as it is commonly known, enjoys a year-round equatorial climate which is warm and sunny, along with plentiful rainfall, especially during the southwest monsoon from April to September. Dust particles from forest fires on nearby Sumatra Island sometimes create a phenomenon known as the haze. This usually lasts for 1 to 2 weeks.
Malaysia's booming Tiger Economy is reflected in its many skyscrapers, most notably the 403m tall Petronas Twin Towers in the Golden Triangle, which is the commercial hub of the city. This are also hosts a distinctive nightlife.
Berjaya Times Square is a building containing a huge shopping centre. It is tagged as the "world's largest building ever built in a single phase", with 7.5 million square feet (700,000 m²) of built up floor area. It is set to become an international landmark offering shopping, luxury accommodation, business, food and abundant entertainment. The Kuala Lumpur Monorail's Imbi station is linked to the building by a footbridge. The majority of the serviced apartments Kuala Lumpur has to offer are near transport links of some kind.
The monorail has 11 stations running 8.6 km with two parallel elevated tracks. It connects Kuala Lumpur's main intercity station KL Sentral with the Golden Triangle.
Kuala Lumpur is directly connected to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang via the KLIA Ekspres high-speed train service which takes only 28 minutes, while travelling by car via highway will take about an hour.
