Brighton is located on the south coast of England and is one of the largest and most famous seaside resorts in the UK. London Gatwick Airport is 25 miles (40 km) to the north and regular trains run from the South Terminal to Brighton Station.
Brighton emerged as an important health resort during the 18th century and a popular destination for day-trippers after the arrival of the railway from London in 1841.
