Bracknell is a town with a population of 110,000 lying 11 miles (18km) southeast of Reading and 30 miles (47km) west of London. The town is surrounded, on the east and south, by the expanse of Swinley Woods and Crowthorne Woods.
With good access to the national motorway network, the town has been successful in attracting high-tech industries, and has become home to companies such as Panasonic, Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Siemens, Honeywell, Cable and Wireless and Novell.
