About the Area for SilverDoor Serviced Apartments in Copenhagen

Copenhagen

Copenhagen in eastern Denmark is the seat of the national government, and the monarchy.

Stroget is the oldest pedestrian shopping street in central Copenhagen, and the city has developed an extensive pedestrian network over the last 40 years through the work of architect and professor Jan Gehl.

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival is a popular annual event that is the result of a significant jazz scene having existed for many years. Copenhagen is known as a 24-hour party city. For free entertainment one can stroll along Stroget, especially between Nytorv and Hojbro Plads, which in the late afternoon and evening is a bit like an impromptu three-ring circus with musicians, magicians, jugglers and other street performers.

The public transportation system of Copenhagen consists of commuter S Trains, buses and a Metro. Tickets are transferable from one means of transport to another as long as the time limit is not exceeded. Copenhagen Airport is 8km south of the city centre and the airport's station is located underneath Terminal 3. InterCity and regional trains, go to Copenhagen, the rest of Denmark and Sweden. The Metro offers a link with the city centre.
